Michigan LCV is going big this summer. We are opening new offices and putting boots on the ground to go all in for Michigan’s land, air and water and to combat climate change. To officially kick off our powerhouse grassroots campaign we are hosting parties in our new offices and you and all of your friends are invited.

Please join us this Saturday June 28th to celebrate the opening of our brand new field offices in Muskegon, Lansing, Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, and Kalamazoo. Stop by the locations below to meet us in person, enjoy light refreshments and learn more about what we will be working on all summer long.

  • Kalamazoo Field Office Opening Party: Saturday, June 28th at 1 PM, 328 South Kalamazoo Mall, Kalamazoo, 49007

If you care about acting on climate change and protecting all of the places that make Michigan great you will be in good company. See you on Saturday!

WMU wins 2014 Climate Leadership Award

WMU has won the 2014 Climate Leadership Award, given by Second Nature.

The awards are presented annually to signatory institutions of the American College & University Presidents’ Climate Commitment (ACUPCC) that demonstrate innovative and advanced leadership in education for sustainability and climate mitigation and adaptation.

Western has shown leadership in making sure that all recent building projects meet the highest standards of energy conservation. WMU has a plan to reach carbon neutrality in all its operations by mid-century. It has also been a leader in climate education, hosting a large number of talks, forums, even an art show, culminating in a campus visit by Bill McKibben last fall.
